FAST does not yet have a collective agreement in force with Reykjavík University (RU). The board is currently working to secure a collective agreement for its members.

Where things stand

The board of FAST has drawn up a draft collective agreement and is now in talks with BHM — the Confederation of University Graduates — and its lawyers to shape the final version. The aim is to secure members a fair collective agreement that addresses pay, holiday entitlement, sick-leave rights and other terms of employment.

Next steps

Once the final version of the collective agreement is ready, it will be presented to FAST members and put to a vote. Members will thus have the opportunity to review the content of the agreement and vote on it before it takes effect.

Where to turn

  • More information about the terms covered by BHM’s collective bargaining can be found on the BHM website
  • Members can contact the FAST board with questions about terms and rights and the status of the negotiations

Members will be kept informed of developments here on the website and by email.
